MEGANN S. HENDRIX

Megann S. Hendrix founded Sage Legal Group, LLC in 2023 after 13 years in the legal profession. The experiences she gained throughout those years helped shape her into a compassionate attorney, successful leader and confident business woman.

Megann S. Hendrix received her J.D. from Marquette University Law School (top 25%).  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University. 

Megann focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and family law. Megann has expertise in estate planning for blended families and special needs families, in addition to general non-probate estate planning. Her elder law expertise is tailored to Medicaid asset protection strategies, including the use of irrevocable trusts to protect assets. Megann approaches her estate administration with care and compassion and helps families through non-contested estate administration. Megann’s family law practice is tailored exclusively to collaborative divorce and prenuptial or postnuptial agreements.

Megann has been recognized with numerous honors, including recognition as one of Milwaukee Magazine’s 2022 “Women of Distinction,” a “Leading Lawyer” in the area of family law by M Magazine, a “SuperLawyer” by SuperLawyers, an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal, and “Milwaukee’s Finest” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Megann is on the Board of Directors for the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (2016 Chair, current Training Chair), Board of Directors for the Waukesha County Estate Planning Council (President 2020-2021, board member 2017 – 2022), and the Board of Directors for the State Bar Family Law Section (2011-2017).  She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  Megann is also a member of the Association of Women Lawyers.

Megann lives in Shorewood with her husband, Travis, and her son, Cole. She is on the Shorewood SEED Foundation Board, and enjoys being engaged in her community.  As a family, they like traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.  When she has “me time” she enjoys yoga, meditation, and quality time with family and friends.
